"We are called for holding Armenia accountable" - Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry

Official Baku called on the international community to “support Azerbaijan’s demining efforts and hold Armenia accountable for violating international humanitarian law.”

“Mine-contaminated areas continue to pose a threat to civilians, hinder the return of internally displaced persons, and slow down reconstruction efforts.

Demining cannot wait,” the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

Recall that last week, Baku again claimed that the accuracy of the maps of mined areas provided by Armenia was 25 percent, demanding “accurate maps” from Yerevan.

In response, the Armenian Foreign Ministry announced that Armenia had already transferred to Baku what maps and information it had.
