EU ready to provide additional support for Azerbaijan-Armenia normalization
![]() 284 Thursday, 17 April, 2025, 13:33 The European Union (EU) commends Azerbaijan and Armenia for their continued efforts towards a peace agreement, the EU's Office for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy told. According to the office, the EU is ready to provide additional support to the parties regarding the normalization process if Azerbaijan and Armenia wish so. It was also highlighted that the EU welcomes the statements regarding the finalization of negotiations on the draft agreement on peace and the establishment of interstate relations between Baku and Yerevan: "We commend both Azerbaijan and Armenia for their continued efforts in this direction over the past few years in bilateral format and with the participation of the international community. It is important to maintain this momentum and ensure the smooth completion of the process with the same promising and compromise-oriented approach from both sides. We call on the parties to sign the draft agreement as soon as possible." |
