Trump։ "A new national security adviser will be appointed within 6 months"

US President Donald Trump has said he will announce his new national security adviser nominee within six months.
On May 1, Trump announced the dismissal of Mike Walz as national security adviser.
"I have a lot of people who want this job, ... I will appoint someone ... I would say within six months," Trump told reporters.
Trump also announced that Walz would be appointed as the US permanent representative to the United Nations, with Secretary of State Marco Rubio taking over temporarily, who will continue to serve as secretary of state.
