Recall that Russian President Vladimir Putin offered Ukraine to start direct negotiations in Istanbul on May 15. Earlier, Mikhail Podoliak, an adviser to the head of the Ukrainian presidential office, said that the Ukrainian president was ready to negotiate in Istanbul only with Putin.
