Strike on Sumy: Number of killed and injured in the attack

On Tuesday, June 3, the Russian army struck the city of Sumy. Approximately 20 people were injured as a result of the Russian attack.

This was reported by the Sumy Regional Military Administration.

Killed, injured, and damage
A 17-year-old child is among the injured. There are also people in serious condition.

«Unfortunately, two people were killed. My condolences to their loved ones, ” wrote Regional Military Administration Head Oleh Hryhorov.

Preliminary reports indicate that around 9 a.m., there were five hits from long-range multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) in the regional center.

«The hits damaged a medical facility, vehicles, and buildings, ” the Regional Military Administration stated.

A headquarters has been set up to address the consequences of the enemy’s attack.

As of 11:00 a.m., it was reported that the number of deaths had risen to three.

What the State Emergency Service says
According to the the State Emergency Service, in one of Sumy’s districts, a projectile hit the road surface. The explosion caused a vehicle to catch fire, which was quickly extinguished.

«In another neighborhood, a multi-apartment building was damaged — without major destruction or fire. Additionally, three private houses, a warehouse building, a garage, four vehicles, and one hospital building were affected. The inspection of the areas is ongoing, ” the statement reads.

Rescuers, medics, and law enforcement are working at the scene.
