Oman has confirmed that US-Iran talks scheduled for Sunday have been cancelled.
“The US-Iran talks scheduled for this Sunday in Muscat will not take place for now. However, diplomacy and dialogue remain the only path to lasting peace,” the sultanate’s foreign minister, Badr al-Busaid, wrote on his X page.
Earlier, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ismail Baghai called the talks with the US “pointless.”
