Archpriest Balashov: "Interference of the Armenian authorities in the life of the AAC is unacceptable"
![]() 1080 Wednesday, 18 June, 2025, 13:34 The interference of the Armenian authorities in the life of the Armenian Apostolic Church (AAC) is unacceptable, and the insults directed at its leader and clergy cause indignation. Senior priest Nikolai Balashov, advisor to Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, told RIA Novosti. “The gross insults directed at the leader and clergy of the Armenian Apostolic Church cause a feeling of shame and indignation. We express solidarity with the Armenian believers who defend the dignity of their church. Attempts by representatives of secular authorities to openly interfere in the internal life of the most important national spiritual institution with a centuries-old history are unacceptable and deserve condemnation,” Balashov said. |
