Hot air balloon crashes in Brazil, eight dead

At least eight people have died in a hot air balloon crash in the Brazilian state of Santa Catarina, the state's governor, Jorginho Mello, said.
"According to preliminary data, there were 22 people on board. At this time, it has been confirmed that eight people have died, two have survived," the governor wrote on his X social media page.
He later clarified that there were 21 people on board, of whom 13 survived.
