Zelensky declares "month of special measures" to pressure Russia
![]() 382 Saturday, 21 June, 2025, 21:48 Ukraine is stepping up efforts to achieve new sanctions against Russia, the country's President Volodymyr Zelensky said in a Telegram channel. "Now is a month of special measures aimed at new pressure on Russia the occupier, in order to complicate its situation and thereby bring our path to peace closer," he wrote. The head of state named three steps within this framework: "new international" actions by Kyiv to achieve tighter restrictions and work within the country against those "who are still helping Russia"; directing more resources to different types of drones; changes in the composition of the country's management team and in the diplomatic corps. Russia considers the sanctions imposed against it illegal and insists on their cancellation. |
