"We were going to eliminate Khamenei" - Katz

We were going to eliminate Khamenei, but the right moment did not present itself. This was stated by Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz:

“Israel intended to eliminate Ali Khamenei, but there was never a right opportunity for such an operation.
We wanted to eliminate Khamenei. If he had been within range, we would have struck. But such a chance did not present itself.”

In response to a question about whether the US permission was required for such an action, he replied:

“We do not need anyone’s permission for such things.”
