"It is in Armenia's interests to continue its membership in the CSTO" - Peskov
![]() 644 Monday, 30 June, 2025, 14:35 It is in Armenia’s interests to interact and cooperate with the CSTO. This was stated by the press secretary of the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov, speaking about Armenia’s membership in the CSTO. “This is an absolutely sovereign decision of Armenia. Membership in the CSTO definitely brings certain benefits to Armenia. The CSTO is an organization that has repeatedly demonstrated its effectiveness in recent times. And, probably, the cases when the CSTO has demonstrated its effectiveness indicate that it is in the interests of the member states to continue this type of interaction and cooperation,” Peskov said. He also noted that Russia proceeds from the fact that Armenia has not withdrawn from the organization. “As for the suspension or resumption of participation, it will again depend on the decisions made in Yerevan,” Peskov added. |
