Liverpool striker Diogo Jota dies in car crash
![]() 1131 Thursday, 03 July, 2025, 14:58 Liverpool and Portugal striker Diogo Jota has died in a road accident in the Spanish province of Zamora. The car in which Jota and his brother Andre Silva were travelling lost control after a tyre burst while overtaking, causing it to skid off the road and burst into flames, the Daily Mail reported. Jota, 28, and Silva, 26, have died. Jota has been playing for Liverpool since 2020. Together with the team, he won the Premier League, FA Cup and League Cup. |
