France has expressed its displeasure over Trump's decision to impose a 30% tariff on EU exports to the US, French President Emmanuel Macron said.
Macron said the European Commission must fully demonstrate the Union's determination to defend European interests.
"In particular, this means accelerating the preparation of countermeasures, using all available tools, if an agreement is not reached by August 1st," Macron wrote.
