"We may have a phone conversation with Putin and Trump this week" - Erdogan

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced plans to speak by phone with his Russian and American counterparts Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump about the possibility of a meeting of the leaders on Ukraine in Istanbul.

"We may hold talks with Putin and Trump this week to discuss the possibility of holding a meeting of the leaders in Istanbul. We will strive for this," he told reporters, commenting on the results of the third round of direct talks between Russia and Ukraine in Istanbul on July 23.
