"The US must compensate for the damage caused" - Araghchi

Tehran expects compensation from the United States for the damage caused by the bombing of its nuclear facilities. This was stated by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi in an interview with the Financial Times.
According to him, during and after the 12-day conflict, he spoke with the US special envoy for the Middle East, Witkoff, who proposed resuming nuclear talks.
“They must explain why they hit us ... in the middle of the negotiation process, and guarantee that this will not happen again. They must compensate for the damage caused ... The path to negotiations is narrow, but it is not closed. I must convince my leadership that if we enter into negotiations, the other side will really be willing to reach a mutually beneficial agreement,” Araghchi added.
