Koshta and Aliyev had a telephone conversation

EU Council President Antonio Costa has called Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, Azerbaijani media reported.

Antonio Costa congratulated Ilham Aliyev on the signing of the Declaration between Azerbaijan and Armenia, mediated by the US President, the initialing of the Agreement on Peace and Interstate Relations, as well as the agreements reached on the regional transport corridor.

The EU Council President stressed the importance of these results for ensuring lasting peace and stability in the region and announced the EU's readiness to support the implementation of the agreements reached.
