Russia and Iran discussed military cooperation, issues related to the South Caucasus

Russian Deputy Defense Minister Alexander Fomin met with Iranian Ambassador to Russia Kazem Jalali to discuss current issues of military cooperation, international and regional security, including the situation in the South Caucasus, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.

“On August 26, a meeting took place between Russian Deputy Defense Minister, Colonel General Alexander Fomin, and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Russian Federation Kazem Jalali,” the statement said.
