Pezeshkian is Azerbaijani. We have the same blood. This was stated by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in an interview with the Al Arabia TV channel.

According to Aliyev, they have common roots and speak the same language.

“Pezeshkian demonstrated his knowledge of Azerbaijani poetry at one of the public events and does not need a translator. He is a very talented person.

As for the official position of Iran on the new developments, we consider it very justified and positive. When I say “official position”, I mean the position of the President and the Minister of Foreign Affairs. This is considered an official position,” Aliyev emphasized.
