"If Putin doesn't stop the war, we'll start an economic war" - Trump
![]() 2357 Wednesday, 27 August, 2025, 13:18 US President Donald Trump has said he is prepared to take "very serious" action against Russia if Vladimir Putin does not stop the war in Ukraine. "It's about the economy, because we are not going to start a world war. It will be an economic war, and it will be a difficult war. It could reflect badly on Russia," Trump said at a cabinet meeting at the White House, recalling again that "thousands of people are dying every week" in the fighting, so he wants "it to end." |
