"The EU is ready to support the implementation of the transport corridor between Armenia and Azerbaijan" - EU representative

The European Union is ready to support the process of implementing the agreed issues between Armenia and Azerbaijan. This was stated by the EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus Magdalena Grono during a meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
Grono noted that the EU member states also support the peace achieved between Azerbaijan and Armenia. According to Magdalena Grono, the EU is ready to support the process of implementing the agreed issues between the two countries, including on the transport corridor.
Ilham Aliyev, in turn, noted that Azerbaijan supports confidence-building measures with Armenia on a bilateral basis, once again referring to the importance of establishing unhindered transport and transit communication between the main part of Azerbaijan and the Nakhichevan region, as well as the existence of broad opportunities for cooperation with the European Union, in particular in the modernization of Nakhichevan’s transport infrastructure.
