Watch: 24m Medyılmaz Shipyard yacht Dolce Vento sinks immediately after launch
![]() 1996 Wednesday, 03 September, 2025, 21:36 The 23.9-metre Medyılmaz motor yacht Dolce Vento has capsized immediately after launch. The incident occurred at approximately 2.30pm yesterday (2 September) at the yard's facilities in Eregli, Turkey. According to local reports, an alleged stabilisation issue caused Dolce Vento to sink to a depth of seven metres shortly after entering the water. The Coast Guard was quickly dispatched to the scene alongside medical personnel. The yacht's owner, captain and two crew members were on board at the time, though they jumped into the water and were ultimately unharmed. An investigation has been opened to determine the cause of the sinking. |
