Hamas responds to Trump’s Gaza proposal
![]() 712 Saturday, 04 October, 2025, 00:48 The Palestinian Resistance Movement Hamas has submitted its response to mediators concerning US President Donald Trump’s plan to end the war in the Gaza Strip and achieve what he described as “peace” in the region. In a statement, Hamas said it had carried out “extensive consultations to reach a responsible position” on the plan, motivated by its desire to stop Israeli aggression. The movement declared its readiness to release all prisoners — both living and deceased — in line with Trump’s proposal, and expressed its “immediate” willingness to engage in mediated negotiations to discuss the details. The group also reiterated its acceptance of handing over the administration of the Gaza Strip to a Palestinian body composed of independents, based on national consensus with Arab and Islamic support. |
