An earthquake of magnitude 5.5 occurred in the afternoon on Friday, October 17th, 2025, at 5:15 pm local time near Gahkuch, Ghizer District, Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan, as reported by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC).
According to preliminary data, the quake was located at a moderately shallow depth of 51. km.
