Rashad Nabiyev: Zangazur corridor construction progressing, key railway segments to start soon

The construction of «the Zangazur corridor», with an annual throughput capacity of up to 15 million tons, is being actively carried out, the Minister of Digital Development and Transport of Azerbaijan, Rashad Nabiyev, said at the 83rd meeting of the Railway Transport Council of the CIS member states, APA-Economics reports.
He noted that the railway line leading to the Agband area, located on the border with Armenia, will be completed in 2026: “At the same time, Azerbaijan is working on the construction of an approximately 200-kilometer railway line passing through Nakhchivan. Currently, the design of this main line is being completed, and construction work will begin soon. Within a few days, Azerbaijan Railways JSC will start the implementation of this project.”
