Death toll rises to 94 in Hong Kong residential building fire
![]() 2377 Friday, 28 November, 2025, 10:07 At least 94 people have died after a huge fire engulfed a high-rise public housing complex in Hong Kong. A fire broke out in the Wang Fuk Court residential complex on Wednesday. Bamboo construction scaffolding erected around the buildings as part of a renovation plan caught fire. The flames spread quickly and engulfed all eight buildings of the complex. This is the most powerful fire in Hong Kong in 17 years. |
