The Syrian Arab Army Operations Command announced that Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh neighborhoods in Aleppo will be designated as “closed military zone” starting at 3:00 PM on Wednesday.
In a statement, the command said, “A full curfew will be in effect in the two neighborhoods starting at 3:00 PM.” The statement also called on residents to stay away from SDF Organization’s positions.
Clashes broke out in Aleppo at midday on January 6 between the Syrian army and the Kurdish internal security units of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).
