Greenland plays a critical role for the security of the United States and the entire global missile defense system. This was announced on January 7 by Vice President of the United States J. D. Vance in an interview with Fox News channel.
According to him, the island's importance goes beyond regional security and is directly related to the global defense architecture.
"Greenland is of critical importance not only for our national security, but for the national security of the entire world. The entire missile defense infrastructure is partially dependent on Greenland," Vance said.
