Pursuant to Presidential Proclamation 10998, the United States is fully or partially suspending visa issuance to nationals of 39 countries and to individuals applying using Palestinian Authority travel documents as of January 1, 2026.
The United States is fully suspending visa issuance for nationals of Iran, with limited exceptions. Nationals of Iran may still submit visa applications and schedule interviews, but they may be ineligible for visa issuance or admission to the United States.
