The 224-kilometer-long Kars-Igdır-Aralık-Dilucu railway line is important for the Zangezur corridor, said Turkey’s Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloglu in an interview with Anadolu Agency.
He noted that Azerbaijan continues work related to the Zangezur corridor: “There are also unfinished works on the Nakhchivan side. The Azerbaijani side will probably start their implementation this year.”
The minister also emphasized the participation of the United States in the construction of the Zangezur corridor.
According to Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, the Turkish side expects progress there this year.
The minister added that, as a result, the Zangezur corridor could be put into operation by 2030.
