Starmer mocks Macron as he dons sunglasses at comedy show
![]() 1456 Tuesday, 27 January, 2026, 15:07 Sir Keir Starmer has mocked Emmanuel Macron by donning a pair of aviator sunglasses at a comedy show in London. The Prime Minister was appearing at The Political Party Live at the Duchess Theatre where he was interviewed in front of a live audience. In a clip that he shared on his TikTok account, Sir Keir is handed a pair of shades which he promptly puts on and then says “Bonjour”, in a nod to the French president who wore an eye-catching pair of sunglasses at Davos last week. Sir Keir tagged Mr Macron in the post, adding the caption “Talk to me, Goose”, a reference to the film Top Gun, which popularised aviator-style sunglasses.
