Iran summons European ambassadors over EU move on Revolutionary Guards
![]() 1143 Monday, 02 February, 2026, 14:25 Iran summoned the ambassadors of all European countries with embassies in Tehran over the European Union’s designation of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps as a terrorist organization, Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei said on Monday. Baghaei called the move by the EU “a strategic mistake” and “an insult to Iran,” saying the summons was only a “minimum step” and that Tehran was weighing further measures in response. |
