Since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion, 55,000 Ukrainian soldiers have been killed, states Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, according to Le Monde.
In Ukraine, officially, on the battlefield, the number of military personnel killed – both career soldiers and those who were mobilized – stands at 55,000," the head of the Ukrainian state said.
He also noted that there is a "large number of people whom Ukraine considers missing."
In February last year, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy also provided data on Ukraine’s losses since the beginning of the full-scale invasion in an interview with NBC News.
According to him, the confirmed deaths of Ukrainian military personnel amounted to 46,000.
