An explosion ripped through a Shi'ite Muslim mosque in Pakistan's capital city of Islamabad on Friday, killing 31 people and wounding more than169 others.
The exact cause of the explosion remains under investigation by authorities.
Islamabad police told news agency AP that the blast at the sprawling mosque was an attack and that an investigation was underway.
