Türkiye’s Ministry of National Defense has commented on reports circulating in recent days claiming that the army plans to enter Iranian territory for security reasons if the United States attacks Iran.
“Türkiye supports the peaceful resolution of all conflicts in the region and continues its efforts to ensure lasting stability. At the same time, necessary measures are being taken in coordination with the relevant state institutions against potential risks. Claims circulating in certain media outlets and on social media platforms alleging that ‘if the United States attacks Iran, Türkiye plans to enter Iranian territory for security reasons’ do not reflect the truth,” the statement said.
