IDF Northern Command chief: Strikes on Hezbollah will intensify

Chief of the IDF Northern Command, Maj. Gen. Rafi Milo says the intensity of Israel’s strikes against Hezbollah will increase after the terror group launched rockets and drones at Israel from Lebanon overnight.
Milo says that the IDF has “significantly” bolstered forces in the north and along the Lebanon border, and that there is no intention to evacuate Israeli residents of the area.
“We are prepared in defense and offense,” he says in remarks published by the IDF.

“Shortly after Hezbollah’s rocket fire, in accordance with planning, we launched a first wide wave of strikes in Beirut and southern Lebanon, targeting senior operatives, headquarters, and terror infrastructure. We are also working to evacuate the population in southern Lebanon for its protection ahead of additional strikes,” Milo says.
“The strikes continue, their intensity will increase,” he adds.
