Azerbaijani MoD: Necessary response measures being prepared after Iran’s drone strikes, attacks will not go unanswered

On March 5, the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran carried out attacks from Iranian territory using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) against Nakhchivan International Airport and other civilian infrastructure in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Defence said in its statement.
The technical parameters of the UAVs and the details of these attacks are currently being investigated.
"The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan strongly condemns the attacks carried out by the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran against civilian infrastructure on the territory of Azerbaijan, despite the absence of any military necessity.
Full responsibility for the incident lies with the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan is preparing necessary response measures to ensure the protection of the country’s territorial integrity and sovereignty, as well as the safety of civilians and civilian infrastructure, and these attacks will not go unanswered," the Ministry said in its statement.
