Pakistan’s Commerce Ministry has opened 6 official land transit corridors for cargo heading to Iran under a new 2026 order. The routes link Karachi, Port Qasim and Gwadar with the Gabd and Taftan border crossings into Iran through multiple roads in Balochistan.
More than 3,000 containers bound for Iran are reportedly stuck at Karachi Port after vessels scheduled to collect them failed to arrive, and are now being shifted overland by truck.
