“Trade and other areas of cooperation between Armenia and Azerbaijan are being resumed. At the same time, cooperation is increasing at the level of the executive authorities of both countries. Today, cooperation between the parliaments of Azerbaijan and Armenia is also expanding. In a region dominated by conflicts, we must support progress between Azerbaijan and Armenia. While we see other countries in the region being drawn deeper into conflict, these two countries are emerging from it and moving in the opposite direction, and we welcome this,” said Martin Chungong, Secretary General of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), in a statement to journalists in Baku.
