Rubio discusses Ukraine, Iran in call with Russia’s Lavrov

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio held a phone call with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov on Tuesday at Lavrov’s request, the US State Department said.
In a statement, the United States Department of State said the two officials discussed US-Russia relations, the war in Ukraine, and Iran.
Russia’s foreign ministry said the two officials “exchanged views on the current situation in international affairs and Russian-American relations, and discussed the schedule of bilateral contacts”, describing the conversation as “constructive and businesslike”.
