Ghalibaf mocks US for halting naval escorts in Strait of Hormuz

Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, who has been serving as the Islamic Republic’s top negotiator in talks with the US, appears to mock the Trump administration for pausing the naval effort to assist ships in leaving the Strait of Hormuz.
“Operation Trust Me Bro failed. Now back to routine with Operation Fauxios,” Ghalibaf writes on X.
In announcing the pause on Tuesday, US President Donald Trump said he was doing at the request of Pakistan and others while claiming “great progress in the negotiations with Iran.
