An informed source close to Iran's negotiating team with the US has stated that the Islamic Republic has not accepted any negotiations before the fulfillment of preconditions, including the release of blocked assets.
The source told Fars news agency: "No negotiation is possible without the transfer of Iran's blocked funds."
It has been reported that the latest serious dispute between Iran and the US over the start of negotiations — which concerned the method of accessing Iran's blocked resources — is being resolved through Qatar's mediation and initiative.
