The head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, said that Europe could face the same problems in the future that the Baltic states are experiencing now in the field of security. She stated this the day before at a joint meeting with the Presidents of Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia press conference in Vilnius.
"What you are experiencing today, the rest of Europe could face tomorrow." von der Leyen said.
The European Union will "systematically" eliminate shortcomings in its security system, "starting with more unified warning systems and improving interstate coordination," the head of the EC added.
