Iran and Oman are negotiating to work out a new order of passage through the Strait of Hormuz. This was stated on May 27 by Deputy Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran Ali Bagheri on the sidelines of the International Security Forum in Moscow.
"Iran and Oman, as neighboring states, are negotiating together before determining a new mechanism for passage through the Strait of Hormuz," TASS quoted Bagheri as saying.
Bagheri also stressed that Iran is not conducting any negotiations with the United States over the fate of its enriched uranium reserves.
