"An absolutely transparent statement from Russia" - Zelenskyy on the massive Russian attack

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reacted to the massive overnight Russian attack on Ukraine.
"More than 500 SES workers are involved in eliminating the consequences of the overnight Russian attack on our cities and communities. The main strike was on Kyiv, where dozens of residential buildings and other purely civilian infrastructure were again damaged. Unfortunately, four deaths are known. My condolences to all the families and loved ones. Currently, 38 people are in the capital's hospitals, and everyone is receiving the necessary assistance," Zelenskyy stated on social media.
In Dnipro, according to him, a search and rescue operation continues at the site of a four-story apartment building. "Part of the building was effectively just demolished. Nine people were killed by this attack, including a child. Thirty-five people were injured in the city. The fate of six more people is unknown. Their search will continue as long as necessary," Zelenskyy noted.
"The Russians also hit the energy sector in the Kharkiv region and critical infrastructure in Kharkiv. The Kyiv, Mykolaiv, Zaporizhzhia, Poltava, Sumy, Chernihiv, and Khmelnytskyi regions were also under attack," the President reported.
In total, during the night, Russia, according to him, launched 656 strike drones and 73 missiles of various types at our people: ballistic, cruise, and anti-ship.
"A large-scale attack and an absolutely transparent statement from Russia: if Ukraine is not protected from ballistic and other missile strikes, these strikes will continue. Europe needs its own anti-ballistic defense so that this war can finally end. And the help of the United States in supplying missiles for Patriots is absolutely necessary. We count on the support of our partners and on effective responses to today's strike" - Zelenskyy emphasized.
