Neymar suggested he may have played his final match for Brazil after their 2-1 defeat by Norway in the World Cup round of 16.
He scored a stoppage-time penalty, but it was insufficient to prevent Brazil's elimination and extend their wait for a sixth World Cup title.
The 34-year-old indicated his international career was over, stating, 'I tried, I tried ... Now it's over! I started here, I finished here.'
If he confirms his retirement, Neymar will conclude his Brazil career with 80 goals and 58 assists in 130 appearances, with the 2013 Confederations Cup as his only senior trophy.
