Iran has maintained the combat capability of its missile forces and has managed to adapt to new conditions after five months of US strikes, Financial Times reports, citing experts.

According to analysts, Iranian engineers have managed to quickly restore underground bases after the bombings. Former CIA military analyst Jim Lamson believes that recent strikes on US military barracks in Jordan, which resulted in the deaths of servicemen, demonstrate Iran’s ability to penetrate the missile defense systems of the United States and Arab countries.

“They have managed to improve the ability of their medium-range ballistic missiles to penetrate defenses and increase the accuracy of their targeting. ... Iran is making both technical and tactical adjustments based on the experience of previous conflicts,” he added.

According to Farzin Nadimi, an analyst at the Washington Institute for Near East Policy, “it is becoming increasingly difficult to defend against ballistic missiles during the final phase of their flight.” The expert believes that the United States may need Israel’s support to do so.
