US President Donald Trump said the US could attack “Pickaxe Mountain,” a site believed to contain nuclear facilities, if talks with Iran break down.
Trump said he would “very easily destroy Pickaxe Mountain” if he fails to reach a deal with Tehran, crypto-focused media outlet BlockBeats reported on July 28.
Pickaxe Mountain is an underground facility near Iran’s Natanz uranium-enrichment site and has been cited as being linked to Iran’s nuclear program.
Trump also claimed the US controls the Strait of Hormuz. “It’s not Iran that controls the Strait of Hormuz. We control it,” he said. He added that only ships authorized by the US would be allowed to pass through the waterway.
