UEFA: 54 out of 55 members expressed that they have lost confidence in the current leadership of FIFA

UEFA: 54 out of 55 members have declared a loss of confidence in the current leadership of FIFA
According to it, 54 out of 55 member national associations of UEFA — with the exception of the Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan — have confirmed that they have lost confidence in the current leadership of FIFA.
"UEFA and all national associations, which have been demanding fundamental changes in recent months, have agreed on a clear direction for reforming FIFA.
The national associations have once again confirmed their loss of confidence in the current leadership of FIFA. Institutional reform alone is not enough. FIFA also needs new leadership,"
— the UEFA statement reads.
According to the European football governing body, the new leader must be a person who commands respect in the football world, is capable of uniting everyone, is deeply connected to football, possesses the necessary experience and vision, and can inspire trust in various regions.
UEFA is demanding the distribution of powers within FIFA, strengthening the role of the FIFA Council, and optimizing the activities of committees. It is also emphasized that the president of the organization must be "a leader, not a manager."
In addition, UEFA put forward demands such as abandoning unilateral decisions on the football calendar, banning the use of FIFA resources for personal or electoral purposes, and ensuring the integrity and independence of the organization.
UEFA announced that discussions between national associations and other organizations in world football regarding FIFA reforms and its future leadership will continue.
