A Delta Air Lines flight from New York was searched Tuesday after landing at Ben Gurion Airport near Tel Aviv following an anonymous bomb threat, according to Israeli media.
The Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper said passengers were taken off the aircraft while security personnel searched the plane at Israel’s main international airport.
The search was prompted by an anonymous warning of a bomb aboard the aircraft, the outlet said.
The credibility of the threat had not been established, and security checks were continuing, the paper said.
Authorities did not immediately announce whether any suspicious object had been found or provide further details on the source of the threat.
