The United States is temporarily leaving the manufactured ammunition to replenish its own arsenals and will resume selling them to allies after accumulating sufficient stocks. This was stated by US President Donald Trump on October 15 in an interview with Newsmax TV channel.

"Lately, we've just been keeping the ammunition for ourselves because we need it ourselves. We should have them. And when we replenish our stocks, we really replenish them, we will start allowing our allies to buy them from us again," the American leader said.

Trump also criticized his predecessor Joe Biden for transferring billions of dollars in military aid to Ukraine without demanding payment. According to the current US president, the previous administration supplied Kiev with significant amounts of weapons, including Patriot systems and Tomahawk missiles.

After returning to the White House, Trump demanded that European countries pay for American weapons.

"I told the European Union: I'm not going to give you anything. You have to pay. They have a lot of money. They paid us, and we sent them ammunition. And it worked," he added.

On October 11, the Financial Times newspaper learned that the United States had threatened to stop supplying weapons to Ukraine under the PURL program, a priority list of Ukraine's needs.

The United States did not include missiles for Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems in the new package of military assistance to Ukraine, the Reuters news agency found out on September 25. According to the agency, global stocks of missiles for Patriot systems have decreased against the background of the use of these weapons in the conflicts between the United States and Iran and Ukraine.
